Siri Thoresen
I am a clinical psychologist, and am currently working as a senior researcher with the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies. I enjoyed being a member of the scientific committee of the 11th ECOTS, and getting to know the high-quality traumatic stress research that is being carried out all over Europe. My own research encompasses epidemiological studies, case-control studies and qualitative studies, and also concerns community healthcare including such target groups as peacekeepers and first responders. At our centre, we have a great variety of people with different professional backgrounds using both qualitative and quantitative research methods, which may be an inspiration for broadening the scope of the ESTSS. I believe the ESTSS plays an important role in strengthening the European research community, and I would like to take part in the work to further develop and expand the role of the ESTSS.
