I am a professor in clinical psychology at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. I have done studies on traumatised populations (disasters, physical assault, rape, incest, cancer, hiv+, soldiers,
children and adolescents) and a few treatment studies. I have strong interest in training psychologists to treat traumatised clients.
At the ESTSS board I want to pursue the following topics:
- introduce the possibility of an international Ph.D. course in psychotraumatology
- strengthen research cooperation across borders through topical workshops and joint projects
- promote the use of standard assessment tools for children and other understudied groups to be used by clinicians and researchers
- change the ESTSS Bulletin into a journal with more emphasis on state reports from the various countries, research articles, and articles and debates of interest for the clinician
- chieve EU and national recognition for ESTSS as an institution of expert knowledge.
